WHO WE ARE

At Garner Area Ministries (GAM), you are our mission. Founded in 1981 by a group of compassionate local churches, our organization was created to serve as a central resource for neighbors experiencing financial hardship. We provide support for rent, utilities, prescription costs, clothing, and food for families in need.

We believe no one should face hardship alone. Each month, Garner Area Ministries provides direct assistance to more than 300 families through food, clothing, and financial aid.

A Community Built on Compassion

GAM is powered by dedicated volunteers and led by a 12-member Board of Directors whose backgrounds reflect the strength and diversity of our community. Our board members have served as:

Homemakers and caregivers
Technology specialists
Medical and dental professionals
Clergy
Banking and accounting managers
Corporate leaders

They represent many walks of life, unified by a shared commitment to serve Garner with integrity, wisdom, and compassion.
