WHO WE ARE

At Garner Area Ministries (GAM), you are our mission. Founded in 1981 by a group of compassionate local churches, our organization was created to serve as a central resource for neighbors experiencing financial hardship. We provide support for rent, utilities, and prescription costs, as well as clothing and food for families in need.

Our ministry is powered by dedicated volunteers who believe in uplifting our community with love, respect, and compassion. We serve everyone—regardless of race, religion, citizenship status, or sexual orientation—because kindness knows no boundaries.

Since 1981, we’ve grown alongside our community, and today we assist an average of 300 families each month through financial aid, food pantry services, and our local thrift store. Together, we’re building a stronger, more caring Garner.

We believe no one should face hardship alone. Each month, Garner Area Ministries provides direct assistance to more than 300 families through food, clothing, and financial aid.
